The third round of the Federation evening series on the viaducts was a tricky match
A gin clear river and strong winds. Will Freeman made the long trip from Suffolk worthwhile with a catch of 10-7-0.
Will fed 10 balls of groundbait at the start and caught small roach and perch steadily through the evening, he also added a bream to his catch at peg 19. Match organiser David Clayton was second on peg 18, and relied heavily on a decent bream and a few late roach on hemp for 7-8-0. Third place was popular Matchman Supplies shop manager Bill Bywater with 7- 6-0 from peg 31, this again included a bream, plus small fish. Making up the frame was Tony Marshall who led a string of four pound weights. Tony caught on long pole and maggot from peg 13.
